Castaway Chic in the Maldives – Kanuhura Resort

By Destina Travel

Set in the warm Indian Ocean, in the middle of bright Maldivian atolls, sits the amazing Kanuhura, a Sun Resort, Maldives. If you are looking for laidback island living look no further than this Small Luxury Hotel of the World with its ‘castaway chic’ experience.

Upon arrival at Male International Airport, you are personally greeted by a member of the Kanuhura concierge team who will direct you to the Kanuhura private lounge and assist you with seaplane and resort check-in. Complimentary snacks and drinks are provided whilst awaiting your seaplane departure.

Boarding the seaplane, you embark on a 40-minute spectacular transfer, flying over crystal blue waters dotted with tiny islands – a true paradise from above.

Upon arrival at Kanuhura experience a happy, heartfelt welcome from the island’s staff. Freshen up with an ice cold towel and refreshing fruit drink in the welcome lounge whilst waiting for keys to your very own private villa. Your dedicated villa host will then lead the way and escort you down.

The resort itself is 1400m long x 350m wide. A gentle stroll around the whole island is no more than 40 minutes and is a great way to familiarise yourself with the facilities and experience the fantastic views.

With only 80 villas on the island, you truly have the feeling of space. All villas include semi-open bathrooms, walk-in dressing rooms, Ocean views, TV, air-con and mini-bar as standard.
