5 Reasons your next holiday should be a Cruise!

By Destina Travel

If you have never experienced a cruise before then you’re in for a treat. Below, Dani lists 5 reasons why your next holiday should be a cruise…

#1 Luxurious Accommodation

Gone are the days where a pokey dark cabin is the only option on a cruise ship. Now cabins (or stateroom as they are sometimes referred to) resemble something more like a top-notch hotel room. With lavish furnishings, plenty of room and the most up to date technology, you can’t really go wrong.

For a superior experience, you can opt for a cabin with a balcony to give you endless views of the open sea and ocean, giving you the exciting encounter of arriving into a new port. For the ultimate indulgence, why not upgrade to a suite which gives you not only the best location on board but often includes your own butler too! Many cabins are interconnecting, so taking the family on a cruise can also be an ideal option.

#2 Delicious Dining

With an almost endless choice of dining venues, the cruise liners really seem to have nailed the holiday culinary market. From traditional cruise fine dining with table service, to a buffet fit for a queen,  there really is something to suit everyone’s taste. Many cruise ships also feature separate themed dining options (there is sometimes a small cover charge for these but for something a little different or a special occasion it’s definitely worth it) There’s so much to choose too! Italian, pan Asian, pizzeria’s and steakhouses, a culinary delight awaits you. Many famous and renowned chefs now feature their own restaurants onboard cruise ships giving you first-class experience from start to finish.

#3 Incredible Facilities

Due to the demand, many cruise lines now offer an abundance of facilities on board. For a more relaxed pace why not head to the onboard spa, many of which are award winning and offer a huge range of treatments.

For the more active, you can head to the gym,  swim in the plethora of pools,  skate across ice skating rinks, climb the heights of the climbing walls, channel your inner Ramsay in the cookery lessons and much more.

It doesn’t stop in the evening either, enjoy a famous West End show in the on board theatre, try your luck in the casino, enjoy a movie under the stars with your significant other, or if you’re a night owl, head to one of the many bars to show off your dance moves.

Whether you are a couple seeking tranquility or a family looking for a fun filled adventure, there’s a ship and cruise line to match your exact needs.

#4 A new day, a new destination

Where else can you wake up every morning look out of your window and be in a different destination to yesterday? There is no other experience which can offer you this. So, as well as enjoying everything the ship has to offer, you can get off and explore a new place almost every day. One day you could be enjoying city break such as a day in Venice or Rome, the next relaxing on a golden sandy beach, followed by another day kayaking in one of Croatia’s stunning national parks.

Whether you want to explore on your own or book a shore excursion with a knowledgeable guide, the hardest decision you’ll have to make is where to go and what to see.

#5 Value for Money

There are so many inclusions on cruises that they offer fantastic value for money. With delicious meals included around the clock, top-notch facilities/activities, world-class entertainment, plush accommodation and fantastic itineraries, you would think a cruise would cost the world…

7-night cruises can start from as little as £599 per person, less than you would pay for a 5* hotel. The superb value for money that cruises offer, explains why so many people are turning to cruising for their next holiday or returning to cruising time after time.

With so many fascinating worldwide destinations to choose from why not experience a few in one trip with a cruise. A floating resort to cater for everyone and with such great value, you have nothing to lose. Why not give it a go!
